Edwin Fragoso is an attorney who attended Columbia Law School in New York City, earning a Juris Doctor with honors in 2007 and subsequently undertaking a successful law career. He strongly benefited from his educational background, having earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Florida State University. A native speaker of Spanish, Edwin Fragoso is also an active member of the Cuban American Bar Association and a donor to the Cuban American National Foundation. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Edwin Fragoso became familiar with the construction industry by working as an assistant tile setter and bricklayer at his family business, Fragoso and Son Tile. After completing his JD at Columbia, Edwin Fragoso transitioned to an intern position at the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office in Miami, Florida, where he worked from 2003 to 2004. He put his language skills to good use, preparing depositions from victims and witnesses as well as police officers. He also researched felony cases before court trials and was responsible for the supervising attorney's computerized felony criminal files. In 2007, Edwin Fragoso's interest in the construction industry led him to accept a Construction Litigation Associate position at Arent Fox LLP. He had the chance to represent luxury homeowners, foreign government entities, hotel chains, condominium associations, cooperatives, architects, and museums. His cases mainly concerned construction litigation and took place in federal and state courts. As a litigation associate, Edwin Fragoso handled claims that involved extra work, delays, acceleration, mechanics' liens, subsurface conditions, stop notices, and construction defects. Working at Arent Fox was a rewarding professio nal experience, providing the opportunity to collaborate with construction experts and develop his contract appraisal skills. Operating the business since 1997, Tracie Rampley has provided a multitude of clients with her expert services in cutting and styling hair. An advocate for Locks of Love, Tracie Rampley periodically dedicates her time and resources to free hair-cutting sessions for individuals interested in donating 10 inches of their own healthy hair. This hair is made into wigs for children in the US and Canada who have suffered hair loss due to various medical conditions including alopecia areata. In addition to her support of Locks of Love, Tracie Rampley is an active member of The Circle for Children. Tracie Rampley is also heavily involved in The Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. (LFA). Volunteering through its Georgia chapter, she traveled to Washington, D.C., in March of 2010 to aid in promoting awareness of and research for lupus. Tracie Rampley is particularly passionate about encouraging umbilical stem cell research to treat the illness. She also participates in the committee for Walk for Lupus Now in Atlanta and her local chapter’s Night of Hope gala. With many talents and interests, Julian Carta has a varied academic, personal, and professional background, including extensive experience as a volunteer swim coach and a variety of hobbies he enjoys in his free time. While he is currently employed at the Institute for Shipboard Education, he also offers his evenings to the Piedmont Family YMCA in Charlottesville, Virginia, up to three times a week. As an Assistant Coach of the CYAC Swim Team, he organizes team practices, controls set pace, and coordinates the team's dry-land workouts. Prior to his volunteerism at the Piedmont Family YMCA, Julian Carta held a position as the Head Lifeguard and Pool Manager for Boar's Head Inn for nearly five years. The organization named him Lifeguard of the Week on numerous occasions. For four years, he also worked at Crozet Park Pool as an Assistant Swim Coach for a 250-member team. Aside from coaching swimmers, Julian Carta enjoys playing music. He has been writing and performing various genres of music since age 11, and he studied jazz guitar while a student at James Madison University. He currently plays guitar for the Moby & The Dicks band and has written numerous compositions for the group. Snowboarding, reading, hiking, diving, and traveling are also among Julian Carta's hobbies, and he has strong interest in contemporary politics, economics, and human rights. To share his views, Mr. Carta wrote opinion pieces regarding these subjects in The Breeze, James Madison University's student newspaper. The Animal Medical Center began as the brainchild of Ellin Prince Speyer, who founded the Women’s Auxiliary to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in New York in 1906. The society was formed with the intention of creating an organization to protect and care for the city's animals. By 1910, the Women’s Auxiliary to the ASPCA had founded a pet care clinic–the beginning of The Animal Medial Center–which treated more than 6,000 animals in its first year of operation. Four years later, the organization opened up a three-story hospital with a resident veterinarian. Eventually, after weathering the Great Depression and two World Wars, the hospital took on a new name: The Animal Medical Center. Today, The Animal Medical Center strives to put the tenets and principles of its founder into practice. With cutting-edge facilities and a variety of specialized treatments available on-site, The Animal Medical Center is a leader in pet healthcare.
